*Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, this retreat has been postponed until June 2022 and the below post updated.
Here at JU-ICE-IT, we are delighted to announce that we’re going to be hosting our first ever clean living detox retreat in June 2022.
We’ve teamed up with Yoga and Pilates instructor, Sarah Bowery, to bring you an intimate 7-day retreat at the stunning Le Serrania resort in Majorca.
Located in the harmonious foothills of the Serra de Tramuntana mountains, surrounded by calming oak woods and olive groves, we’ll be welcoming just 20 people looking to cleanse their mind, body and soul.
Years in the making, it comes after our founder and natural juice therapist, Juliet, met personal trainer, Sarah, at Jason Vale’s Juicy Oasis back in 2015. Since then, the pair have been firm friends and wanted to combine their complementary skills and experience to create a retreat that would leave people feeling healthy, rested and rejuvenated.
Plans were put on hold while Juliet herself trained at Lotus Oasis in India to become a qualified Yoga instructor and then the Coronavirus pandemic hit. But now, their dreams have become a reality and everything is in place for summer 2022 – we can’t wait!
Flexible and friendly health and fitness
Unlike some other retreats, the JU-ICE-IT Retreat is designed to be flexible and friendly, welcoming both experienced juicers and Yogis as well as those exploring a healthy lifestyle for the first time.
The week will consist of several daily activities which people can choose to participate in or not, and regular social meal and snack times to enjoy freshly made juice from ingredients sourced locally on the island.
Sarah, a personal trainer with 18 years’ experience and qualified Yoga and Pilates instructor, will be hosting a variety of classes for all abilities and mountain walks and hikes. She’ll also be offering 1-2-1 coaching sessions.
Juliet will of course be in charge of preparing freshly pressed juice recipes with the help of Sarah as her sous-chef. There are some fantastic new recipes being introduced especially for the retreat too, which include coconut milk and berry breakfasts, soups, banana ice cream and mocktails.
In addition, Juliet will be holding her ever-popular juicing workshops and putting her recently gained meditation training to good use with relaxation sessions and Yoga Nidra sessions.
So, when you’re not taking time out by the pool with a book or breathing in the fresh air from your own private terrace, there will be plenty to do with a small group of like-minded people.
Juliet said: “This retreat is perfect for people who strive to live a healthy lifestyle and have always wanted to try juicing but been scared about commitment or failing at the first hurdle. This is the ideal environment to cleanse your body through juicing, but also reap the rewards of exercise and relaxation too. We are in this together and will make it an enjoyable experience for everyone.”
Sarah added: “Keeping your body healthy is key to keeping your mind healthy, and also acts as a positive distraction to food! We’ll be running several classes and will adapt the timetable to peoples’ preferences and abilities as we go along. The flexibility is great. And if some people want an early night, that’s great, but it’s also great if people want to sing and dance into the night.”
We are thrilled that almost 75% of the spaces have already been booked, but we’d still love to hear from you if you’re interested in coming or registering your interest for a future retreat. We plan to host them twice-yearly. Find out more here.
